Nyssara Hylach

Nyssara came to Brinegate three months ago, through the gate, with a bag that contained everything she owned and a name she was hoping no one had yet heard. The name, in her case, is a problem: her mother is Dolores Hylach, a Drow matriarch and one of the Empire’s senior government ministers, and that reputation follows their bloodline with the tenacity of a good debt collector.

She is not running from her family so much as building something independent of it. The distinction matters to her, even if the result looks the same from the outside. Her mother writes often. Nyssara replies selectively.
